The Callisto Protocol creates controversy with its Season Pass

PlayStation Studios Visual Arts has been requested

Just yesterday, Steam revealed the contents of The Callisto Protocol Season Pass, and among the devs’ planned festivities are 13 never-before-seen death animations for hero Jacob Lee. An element that obviously made our colleagues at IGN tick since they immediately criticized the developers at Strinking Distance Studios for having voluntarily removed them from the game to better offer them in a paid extension. An accusation that prompted Glen Schofield, the creator of the game, to speak up to put out the start of the fire.

Let’s be clear: we have absolutely not removed any content from the game to integrate it into the Season Passhe assures. The truth is, we haven’t even started working on it yet. These are novelties that we will work on next year. Fans have been asking for new deaths, so we’re making it a priority.” End of story. We take this opportunity to remind you that in addition to these famous death animations, the Season Pass (present in the Digital Deluxe edition) will include the “Contagion” bundle to raise the level of difficulty (less ammunition and resources to heal, permadeath among others), skins, the “Riot” mode where you will have to face waves of Biophages, or even a scripted extension to extend the story of The Callisto Protocol.

The release of the game is set for December 2 on Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, PS4, PS5 and PC.
