Ratko Mladic has been hospitalized in the Netherlands, reports De Telegraaf newspaper.
According to his son, the 79-year-old Bosnian Serb commander is seriously ill.
– He has pneumonia and a weakened heart, says son Darko Mladic according to Serbian media.
Ratko Mladic is serving a life sentence in Dutch in Scheveningen for his role in the Bosnian War and the Srebrenica genocide. From 11 July 1995 onwards, over 8,000 Bosnian Muslim men and boys were massacred by the Bosnian Serb army led by Mladic.
Mladic, also called “the butcher of Bosnia”, was arrested in 2011 and sentenced in 2017 at the UN tribunal in The Hague.
