Four generations of Woll have experienced world war, depression and two fires that almost destroyed the business. Now it’s Fred Woll’s turn to take the family business through a tough period.
– Last year I brought in nine to eleven loads of material to try to fulfill my contracts with the authorities, because I cannot raise the price to the authorities, he says and believes that they managed thanks to being able to fill up their stocks before the raw material costs shot up the height.
The Philadelphia-based family business sells packaging and also has customers far beyond the borders of the United States. Compared to last year, raw material costs have stabilized somewhat, but at the same time other costs are rising.
– It would be nice to see energy and logistics costs that could be stabilized as well, Fred continues.
For Fred, there is only one way forward. Hear him explain more in the clip above.
