Lukas Hradecky kept another clean sheet as Leverkusen returned to the top of the Bundesliga after beating local rivals Cologne 3-0.

Leverkusen has won nine of their ten matches, including all series. In addition to the Bundesliga, success has come in the group stage of the Europa League and the German Cup.

Former Liverpool, Real Madrid and Spanish national team midfield star Alonso, 41, started a year ago in October as Leverkusen’s coach, when the team was in the relegation zone of the German Bundesliga. Led by the Spaniard, Leverkusen rose to sixth in the standings last season and reached the semi-finals of the Europa League.

Hradecky is already in his ninth season in Germany as his team’s number one striker. “Luke” has started the season perfectly both in Germany and in the national team and is clearly enjoying everything he is doing at the moment.
