The Brussels terrorist threatened detention staff

He was sentenced in 2012 to prison for two years and two months for a serious drug offense and deportation for ten years.

During the time Abdesalem Lassoued was in custody, he threatened staff, and later in prison he misbehaved on a number of occasions, according to the Prison Service’s documents about him, several media reports.

Among other things, he demanded to see an imam in custody. When it didn’t work out, he got angry and allegedly said he wanted to “step on someone”.

Abdesalem Lassoued is said to have also threatened to stab one of the detention staff when he was released one day.

In prison, he received warnings for refusing to work and for refusing to take drug tests.

After he served his sentence in 2014, the deportation was enforced.
