The Brussels Airport has canceled all departure flights on Thursday 13th. The reason for cancellations is a nationwide strike, says Reuters.
According to the airport, the strike also affects incoming flights as field staff will participate in the march on Thursday.
The strike demonstrates the mindset of labor market and pension system reforms planned by the Belgian government.
The Brussels Airport has asked airlines to reduce their flights due to a strike. Finnair’s communications tell that it has not yet canceled its Brussels flights from Thursday.
However, Finnair plans to cancel one of its three round -time flights if the strike is realized. The communication reports that the situation will be monitored and the customers will be informed of changes if necessary.
