The meticulous investigations of L’Express on the disastrous congress of the Socialist Party and the frauds which shook it were read with attention by the pink executives. They even inspired them this sporting comparison, which the socialists repeat with fun when they are asked to answer the question “in your opinion, who cheated?” : “The PS is like the Tour de France, everyone is doped but in the end, it’s the best who wins.” Long live Olivier Faure-Amstrong!
Nicolas Mayer-Rossignol, not very comrade
Decidedly, the new “Deputy First Secretary” of the PS, is not only emulated. After Olivier Faure, Nicolas Mayer-Rossignol now annoys socialist deputies and senators… The number two “bis” of the party has literally devoured the speaking time allocated to the PS on television and radio, a way for the city councilor of Rouen to print his position as the first opponent of Faure at the Socialist Congress. Problem: Socialist parliamentarians are today denied access to the antenna and are annoyed by it all the more that they would like to talk about the pension reform or their bills to come in the parliamentary niche PS; and less socialist psychodrama.
“Yesterday, it was Manuel Valls and Ségolène Royal who were eating up our speaking time… Today, we have to do with François Hollande and Mayer-Rossignol. It’s endless!”, annoyed a PS deputy. Protect me from my comrades, my adversaries I take care of it.
The broad ambitions of Gabriel Attal
The story has the government talking. The Minister of Public Accounts Gabriel Attal is open to a gesture on the long career system which could, in the current state of the pension bill, lead people who started working early to contribute 44 annuities and not 43, while Labor Minister Olivier Dussopt does not want to soften the government’s position on this point. Amused comment from a minister: “We could have expected Bercy to tighten the purse strings. But Dussopt has no other ambition than to be Minister of Labour, while Attal’s ambitions are broader !”

Operation credibility, umpteenth episode. Wednesday evening, at the Hôtel de Lassay, a small committee dinner was held around the President of the Ukrainian Parliament Ruslan Stefanchuk. At his side, in particular, the President of the National Assembly Yaël Braun-Pivet (at the initiative of the agapes), the MoDem presidents of the Foreign Affairs Committee Jean-Louis Bourlanges, of the European Affairs Committee Pieyre-Alexandre Anglade , of the Liot Bertrand Pancher group, who were quite surprised to see Marine Le Pen – she who, in the past, rather shone with her pro-Russian positions. “She didn’t open her mouth at dinner, says a guest. But it doesn’t matter, she wasn’t there for that, she came because she seizes every opportunity to institutionalize herself.”
LR: who is the boss?
The little phrase did not go unnoticed. The LR deputy for Lot Aurélien Pradié, very critical of the pension reform, does not seem impressed by the calls for “responsibility” launched by his boss Eric Ciotti. “The leader is the one who is a candidate for the presidential election, let’s be very clear,” he said on Europe 1. “That’s the real leader. And I don’t have the feeling that Eric has that ambition.”
This spade echoes the doubts expressed by the presidential majority on the reliability of the right on pensions. “This group is not required”, mocks a Horizons executive, in reference to the ten LR deputies who could vote against the text. An LR leader tempers: “Eric has no power of injunction, but authority.” Not sure that’s enough.
