Joao Fonseca won the ATP Tournament of Buenos Aires at the age of 18.

Tennis only 18-year-old peak promise Joao Fonseca Celebrate his first tournament win on the men’s ATP tour and rose high on the list of the youngest tournament winners of all time.
Brazilian Fonseca won his first ATP title in Argentina Buenos Aires when a teen star defeated the host country in the final Francisco Cerundolon 6-4, 7-6.
According to the ATP tour, founded in 1990, only six players have won the tour of the tournament at Fonseca as a younger one. They are Llayton hewitt, Andrei Medvedev, Kei nishikori, Rafael nadal, Carlos Alcaraz and Michael Chang.
Fonseca took its opening match at the age of 18, five months and 26 days. Hewitt grabbed his opening win in 1998 at just 16 years and 10 months. Spanish Spanish Nadal (2004) and Alcaraz (2021) won their first tournament for over three months younger than Fonseca.
Fonseca is ranked 68th in the men’s recent world list.
