The boy who is suspected of attempted murder of a girl under the age of 15 in Skellefteå is also suspected of aggravated rape of a child, prosecutor Andreas Nyberg tells Svenska Dagbladet.
– He was also notified of that suspicion last Saturday. The only thing I can say there is that there is enough support in the investigation now that that heading also exists, Nyberg says to SvD.
The girl was found on Thursday 7 July in a forest area in the Morö Backe district in Skellefteå. The police classified the case as an attempted murder and stated that the suspect is a minor boy, also under 15 years of age.
The girl was taken to Norrland University Hospital in Umeå for treatment and has so far not been able to be questioned by the investigators. Her injury situation is still unclear.
