The black boxes of the plane that crashed in Nepal yesterday Sunday have been found, officials say. There were a total of 72 people on the plane. There are 68 bodies found. The possibility of finding survivors is zero, the authorities commented.
The data from the cockpit voice and flight data recorders of the Yeti Airlines plane can help determine the cause of the accident. The plane went down in clear weather just before landing in the city of Pokhara. The flight took off from the capital, Kathmandu. The plane fell into a steep ravine, broke into pieces and caught fire.
57 of those on the plane were Nepalese. The search for the missing continues today, Monday. Today has been declared a day of mourning in the country.
