The bill for the energy manager in Karlshamn: Three million kroner

Karlshamns Energi’s board was dissolved in chaotic ways at the end of last year. Nine out of eleven board members left their positions and the CEO resigned with immediate effect.

But there is a lot of confusion about whether the CEO was fired or resigned himself, which has a bearing on whether you are entitled to severance pay or not.

But there is no written notice sent from the CEO. There is also no written dismissal of the CEO from the board. What exists is an agreement on dismissal and payment of twelve months’ wages, which with social security contributions ends up costing the taxpayer three million, reports BLT and Southeast.

An investigation is now underway to find out what actually happened at the meeting when the CEO left his post.
