This is what Kevin Costner’s Western epic is about

Horizon takes us to the American West in the 1860s. While the Civil War rages in the distance, more and more settlers are being persuaded by a leaflet lured to a promising place called HorizonAmong them is Frances Kittredge (Sienna Miller) and her family. The fact that this place lies in the middle of the territory of an Apache tribe is kept secret – with devastating consequences for both sides.

Costner not only co-wrote the screenplay and directed the film, he also plays one of the main roles, the taciturn miner Hayes Ellison.
