The biggest problem is his taste in music

The Sweden Democrats’ economic policy spokesperson Oscar Sjöstedt says he does not see any risks for the Tidö collaboration after Jomshof’s Islam statements. He also says that the biggest problem with Jomshof is his bad taste in music.
– The collaboration is going well, says Sjöstedt.

on Wednesday, Liberal party leader Johan Pehrson announced that there is no intention to vote Richard Jomshof off as chairman of the justice committee after his statements about Islam.

Johan Pehrson has said that Jomshof’s statements are inappropriate and Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson has said that he should “think about how to express himself”.

– I think all people in Sweden, including Richard Jomshof, should think about how to express themselves, said the prime minister at a press conference.

Sees no risks

But Sjöstedt says that the collaboration is going well.

How do you see the risk that this creates greater friction in the Tidö collaboration?

– I don’t see any such big risks. From my horizon where I sit, we are in the process of starting the budget negotiations for the budget bill for 2024. I think the cooperation is going very well.

“Has incredibly bad taste in music”

Oscar Sjöstedt does not want to comment on Richard Jomshof’s statements or suitability as chairman of the justice committee.

– My view is that it is not on the finance committee’s table, so it is nothing I intend to comment on. I like Richard very much, but unfortunately he has incredibly bad taste in music.

That’s right, he’s a synthesizer, right?

– That is the biggest problem with him, says Sjöstedt and laughs.
