But you don’t have to search the 60-minute opening sequence frame by frame for this moment. We have already been able to locate him for you. And at minutes 10:51. The barely noticeable moment is hidden in the scene in which the passengers gather in the dining room on board the Kerberos and raise their cups in odd synchronicity.
If we pay attention to the arm of the non-geisha Ling Yi (Isabella Wei) at this moment, something extremely strange becomes apparent. Because for him a part of a second becomes Ling’s arm movement of one glitches superimposed. With this “error in the matrix” 1899 reveals after just a few minutes that we are not seeing any real people here.
