He has been compared to “Ibra” several times.
Now Dusan Vlahovic thinks that must be enough.
– It is unfair, he says.
Serbian striker Dusan Vlahovic scored for Italian club Fiorentina. 44 cones in almost 100 matches made Juventus open their eyes – and their wallets.
Tired of the comparison
Last winter, the Italian giant Vlahovic recruited more than SEK 800 million in a deal. There, the Serb has continued to find the net for his new club. When the league season closed a couple of weeks ago, Vlahovic was noted for a nice seven goals in 15 games.
The striker has been compared to Zlatan Ibrahimovic several times in the past year. On the other hand, it’s something he’s relaxed about – and is now roaring from.
– It is a bit unfair to compare players with great champions, who have scored 400-500 goals and who have won 20-30 titles. It does not irritate me, he says according to The Telegraph and continues:
“Want my own career”
– But when that type of comparison is made, you then get criticism for one or two mistakes, as there are so hyped expectations. We all have the right to make mistakes and we are all human. I want my own career.
Vlahovic has previously said that Zlatan Ibrahimovic is a player he looks up to.
– He is a great champion and one of the best strikers who played football. Considering everything he has done in football, a lot must happen to get close to his level, he told Telegraf.rs last year.
