Sweden’s greatest football success of all time.
Now it will be portrayed again in a new documentary.
– One of the biggest Swedish football memories, says producer Martin Nygren.
The 1994 FIFA World Cup is one of Sweden’s biggest football moments. It is impossible to get enough of the magical summer, when the Swedish national football team shocked an entire sports world.
Magical summer
Sweden stood for a real cannon championship – which reached all the way to a World Cup bronze. Names like Tomas Brolin, Martin Dahlin and Kennet Andersson give every single Swedish memorable pictures, and the effort will be long forgotten.
From a Swedish perspective, the tournament has been retold several times. The chronicle from the championship is one of the most classic ever, and soon the Swedish effort will be portrayed again in a completely new documentary.
It is TV4 that will produce the content, and it will tell the story once again both on and off the field.
“Worth it again…”
– The World Cup summer 1994 is probably one of the biggest Swedish football memories for the vast majority of Swedes who were there then. It is worth looking back once again, through some of the most prominent players and their experiences and careers, says producer Martin Nygren in a press release.
The documentary will consist of four parts and premieres on June 12. Martin Dahlin, Kennet Andersson, Tomas Ravelli and Tomas Brolin, among others, will take part in it.
