This is how Netflix’s new function works
The feature in question, named “Moment”, allows you to save and share timestamps from a series or movie on social media.
When streaming the content on your mobile, you can click “Cut” at the bottom left corner in paused mode.
Here you can save the scene and choose which social media platform you want to share it on. Among the platforms are Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat and WhatsApp.
To see all your saved scenes, you can go to “My Netflix” in the app.
