Sweden’s big cooking competition is in full swing and for the past two weeks we have seen a large group of amateur chefs toil among pans, ingredients, knives and scalding hot plates.
The strict jury consisting of Tommy Myllymäki, Tom Sjöstedt and Mischa Billing have been both impressed and disappointed with what was delivered.

During this week’s episode, the chefs who made it to Gävle have been further thinned out. Some had to leave the competition, while others shocked the jury with impressive dishes that they put together all by themselves.
New for this year has been that the jury members were able to bring a contestant of their choice to Gävle that the others said no to.
Mischa Billing’s choice landed on the charming Alice Hahnsson46.
– I believe in you and want you to show what you’re up to in Gävle, Mischa said to a super happy Alice.

But then it didn’t quite go as planned.
Mischa Billing: “It’s burnt…”
In Gävle, the amateur chefs’ first challenge was to make a crispy raw raka with “an own twist”.
There was everything from traditional raw raks, raw raks with holes in them to some with Asian elements.
But for Alice Hahnsson, it went like that.

– Unfortunately, it tastes a bit burnt, said Mischa.
But if you looked a little closer at the plate, you could see other details that were not completely set. Among other things, that the lemon still had seeds in it and so on.
It all ended with Alice being one of those who had to leave.

– I’m not angry, I’m grateful that I got to be a part of this fantastic journey, she said before she wished the other contestants good luck and left her apron.
