Since the launch of Episode: Echoes in Destiny 2, there has been a new coveted target for Guardians: exotic class items. A player on Reddit shared a farming method that he finds efficient with the community.
What is the player farming? Since Episode: Echoes launched, Guardians have been able to find and farm new powerful items in the form of exotic class items.
These items are exotic in nature and fit into the class slot. InvadingBacon, a player, shared his method for farming exotic class items on Reddit
One class item every 15 minutes
How does the player proceed? First, he equipped the Combo Finder on his Ghost. He then went to the ledge in the Pale Heart of the Traveler and completed the Subversion event until he reached the boss. At this point, he left the boss as there was no need to continue the event.
Next, he fast traveled back to the ledge. Once there, he went to the far right corner of the area into the cave area. There he waited for about 10-15 seconds. During this time, the screen pulsed, meaning that the chests had spawned in that area.
He then followed the preset path to go around the map and collect the chests. From his starting point in the cave, he essentially made a figure of 8 around the map and collected the chests. The chests appeared in random places, but by using the method frequently, he is said to have learned their spawn locations and thus become even more efficient.
After circling the map and collecting up to 4 or 5 Hive Chests, he would quickly travel back to the ledge and repeat the process. This method would earn him a class item about every 15 minutes.
Reactions from the community: The community on Reddit has had a mixed reaction to the post. Some seem to have great success with the same method, while others have had little success. Some players then say that how well this method works also depends a lot on luck.
