In Destiny 2, the world’s best PvE players set out solo to slay bosses that would normally take a whole party to complete. But it is currently difficult, so difficult.
What do the best players in Destiny actually do all day?
Even a PvE god takes 10 stages and an hour for the new boss
This is the problem now: As revealed by two reddit threads, solo players have a clear problem in the current season:
The bosses have long periods of invulnerability and short windows in which players can damage them. One Reddit user says it feels like having to do 5 minutes of chores and then do 15 seconds of damage: (via reddit).
The more phases you need for a boss, the longer the boss fight, because the boss always spawns with a new shield.
The boss fights are endless for solo players. There is a video of the PvE god Esoterrick where he needs 10 phases for “Ghosts of the Deep”. The video runs for 75 minutes (via youtube).
Criticize players: Bosses have too much HP, too short damage phases
That’s what the players want: People on reddit say that solo play in dungeons in Destiny 2 is fun. The mechanics are cool, the boss fights are great. But the bosses’ HP pools are now much too large and exaggerated. Therefore it lasts forever.
This is absurd and only makes soloing dungeons tedious. Please Bungie add health sacling to dungeon bosses, that would make our time so much more fun.
So people are demanding that when players enter a dungeon solo, the bosses should have even a fraction of their current HP so that they can be defeated in the “designated time” and doesn’t take that many stages.
Well, you want to do something that the game doesn’t actually provide and that only the ultra-tough experts can do, and then it’s tedious:
