Great reviews: That’s why Chernobyl is worth it

The Chernobyl nuclear disaster happened on April 26, 1986, almost exactly 37 years ago. The series of the same name provides an emotional and factual reconstruction of the events. The world’s largest movie database, IMDB, ranks Chernobyl as the 5th best series of all time with a 9.3 rating. No other production from the last five years has made it higher. At Moviepilot, too, Chernobyl reaches the 9.0 mark and is thus rated better than all other series published during this period.

Chernobyl showrunner Craig Mazin subsequently took over as director of video game adaptation The Last of Us. You can currently watch both series with a subscription to WOW – and discover amazing parallels in the process.
