Jordan Peele has long stood in front of the camera as an actor and comedy star. That all changed with his directorial debut, Get Out. Peele has evolved over the past few years reinvented as a filmmaker. He is particularly fascinated by two genres: horror and science fiction. In Nope he masterfully brings the two together.
Nope started in German cinemas last summer and turned out to be one of the most original films the past blockbuster season. Now it has appeared for the first time on a local streaming service with a flat rate. With WOW, the streaming service from Sky, you can now watch Nope in full.
Sci-Fi Horror: Nope is one of the most exciting blockbusters of recent years
The story of Nope revolves around OJ (Daniel Kaluuya) and Emerald Haywood (Keke Palmer). You are the Heir to a horse ranch outside of Los Angeles, which used to be often involved in Hollywood productions. Meanwhile, however, the dream factory relies on CGI horses, which puts the Haywoods in a financially tricky situation.

Before long, however, OJ and Emerald encounter another attraction that even Hollywood can’t capture in its biggest blockbuster: all indications are that they are a UFO in the clouds hidden above her ranch. From then on they try to capture the uncanny encounter of the third kind with the camera.
Nope is thus a film about cinema itself. Peele stages a great spectacle and questions it at the same time. His foray through Hollywood not only picks up sci-fi and horror elements. A modern western and an extremely exciting mystery thriller also slumber in Nope captivates until the last second.
