In Dragon Age: The Veilguard you have the choice between seven different companions to romance. MeinMMO wanted to know in a survey who you would choose – here is the result of the vote.
What did we want to know? If you want to maintain romantic relationships in Dragon Age: The Veilguard, you have to choose a companion. You can find out more about romances and how they work in our own romance guide. We wanted to know who you choose for your playthrough.
How did you vote? A total of 1,039 people cast their votes on MeinMMO. First place is quite clear at 27%, while the companions behind it are fighting for a higher position. Specifically, the ranking looks like this:

What does your choice say? Basically, the romances have no particular advantages or disadvantages. Whether you choose Neve, Bellara or one of the others has no impact on the overarching story. The choice is therefore subjective and probably depends on which personality appeals to you most.
Nevertheless, Lucanis, Emmrich and Harding in particular undergo an interesting development in their story that can influence your romance with them in a minimal way. The relationship with one of them is a little more diverse than with the others.
With Neve in first place, the Shadow Dragons, one of the six factions, secure first place, at least in this vote. Anyone who romances her should also think carefully about what decision is made regarding Minrathous.
Lucanis in second place is not particularly surprising, after all the member of the Crows from Antiva impresses with a lot of charm and cultivated demeanor. And he can cook exceptionally well…
The gap to third-placed Bellara is very close. Only one voice separates them from each other. Bellara probably stole the hearts of many of you with her initially lively nature.
The dwarf Harding was still able to win over 17% of you. The last three places are Taash, Davrin and Emmrich. All three join the group comparatively late in the actual game, at a point in time when some of you may have already decided on who else. But who could resist Emmrich and his necromancer skills? Quite a few in the MeinMMO community, it seems.
