The best players in Crimson & Crimson show off their teams – A 26-year-old Pokémon dominates PvP

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

Some of the best players in Pokémon Crimson and Crimson split their teams after Season 1. These Pokémon used them.

What are these players? You can also compete in ranked matches and battle other trainers in Pokémon Crimson and Crimson. The different ranks are divided into classes and placements. The highest class is the Master Ball class. The best coaches in the world compete there.

The five players whose teams we present to you are therefore the world’s top-ranked players in the ranked system of Pokémon Crimson and Crimson in the Season 1 double battle format.

Some of these players shared their teams publicly, for example via Twitter, and the Japanese magazine Liberty Note subsequently summarized the teams of the top 30 players. An English translation of the Japanese listing can be found in a document in Google Sheets (via docs.google.com).

Since the players in places 2 and 4 did not publicly disclose information about their teams, we show you places 1, 3, 5, 6, and 7.

  • 1st place: Penguin2142
  • 3rd place: Kae-ru
  • 5th place: bun
  • 6th place: Kyudo
  • 7th place: sasisu
  • How does Ranked Battles work in Pokémon’s Double Battle format?

The game is played according to the rules of the VGC (Video Game Championship), the official e-sports tournament series in the Pokémon games. This means that trainers compete against each other in double battles – i.e. a trainer uses two Pokémon at the same time.

Before the match, the trainers choose 6 Pokémon that will be part of the team. However, in the battle itself, Trainers can only use 4 of the 6 Pokémon. Which 4 pocket monsters a trainer chooses can be decided immediately before the start of the fight. At the same time, he sees which 6 Pokémon are available to his opponent.

Still, looking at the composition of the teams can provide useful information that you can use in your own battles.
