The Best Pastry Chef is soon coming to its conclusion on M6. While the competition rages on, the date of the final has been revealed and some fans of the show will undoubtedly be disappointed…
The 13th season of Best Pastry Chef is in full swing on M6 and fascinates viewers every Thursday evening. Presented this year by Laëtitia Milot, alongside the essentials Cyril Lignac and Mercotte, the show saw 14 amateur pastry chefs compete from the launch in September. Week after week, the candidates, 6 men and 8 women at the start, compete in talent and creativity to seduce the jury on themes as varied as trompe-l’oeil, love, a return to childhood and even Halloween.
Throughout the trials of Best Pastry Chefamateur chefs had the unique opportunity to meet great recognized chefs like Maxime Frédéric, elected Best Pastry Chef 2022 by the Gault & Millau guide, or Étienne Leroy, World Pastry Champion in 2017. The latter even put up for sale the creation of Timothée, one of the candidates, in the prestigious boutiques of Maison Lenôtre. A great achievement for the young man.
As the competition moves towards its conclusion, four pastry chefs are still in the running to win the coveted title: Tsiory, José, Benjamin and Timothée. You don’t notice anything? These names are 100% male since the elimination of Laurène last mid-December sounded the death knell for female candidates. Unprecedented in the history of the competition and undoubtedly a reason for disappointment for some viewers, especially female viewers.
A date in 2025 for the Best Pastry Chef final
The five men still racing in The Best Pastry Chef will have to surpass themselves during the December 26 episode on the theme of “family recipes”, by imagining a trompe l’oeil cake from a family recipe for the creative test, then by making a “super strudel” for the technical test and finally a dessert that they often missed at home for the surprise test.
Bets are open between the finalists since José, the oldest in the competition, has already won the blue apron three times, while Benjamin and Tsiory follow with two blue aprons each. Only Timothée has only one for the moment. But nothing is decided and the twists and turns are an integral part of the Best Pastry Cheflike Romain’s surprise return to the competition after his elimination, following his victory in the catch-up event “Who will re-enter the tent?” during the season.
This 100% male final has in any case a date and we will still have to wait: the verdict of the Best Pastry Chef was set for Thursday January 9, 2025 at 9:10 p.m. on M6. We will then know the name of the big winner of this 13th edition. The bets remain open until then, but one thing is certain: the suspense is at its height and the winner, whoever they may be, will have fully deserved it!
