Are you looking for the best Pals in Palworld? We introduce you to the best Pals for combat, your base and as a mount.

In Palworld you can find, capture and use more than 100 different Pals for different purposes: you can use them in battle where they fight alongside you or have them toil in your base. Some even offer the option for you to ride them.

MeinMMO introduces you to the best options you can find in the game.

Best Pals for Battle

Mammoth remains

Element: grass | Skills: Plants, Lumberjacks, Mining | Partner skill: Mount | Drops: High quality Pal oil, leather, mammary residue meat |

You will encounter Mammorest very early in the game, as you will already find the Pal in the starting zone. However, you shouldn’t start the fight straight away, because Mammorest is well over level 30 and has several thousand life points. Especially at low levels, Mammorest will run right over you. Mammorest is also an option if you want to find and collect leather.

Lovander

Element: Neutral | Skills: Crafts, medicine, transport, mining | Partner skill: heart withdrawal | Drops: Mushroom, Cake, Suspicious Juice, Strange Juice |

Lovander can be found later in the game and offers you an excellent ability with his partner skill that can really help you even in difficult fights. Because the “Heart Drain” ability can absorb part of the damage taken by the player and thus restore his HP. This makes Lovander a strong supporter.

If you’re lucky, Lovander will drop cake. Cake is an important ingredient for breeding Pals in Palworld.

Anubis

Element: floor | Skills: Crafts, transport, mining | Partner skill: Guardians of the Desert | Drops: Bones, Great Pal Soul, Innovative Technical Manual |

Anubis is one of the strongest Pals you can add to your team. With his area attacks he can cause a lot of damage to your opponents and keep enemies away from you. With his fast movement and tail whip attack, Anubis is an excellent addition to your team.

Loupmoon

Element: shadow | Skills: Craft | Partner skill: Claws glittering in the dark | Drop: bones |

Loupmoon is a recommended pal if you are not that strong yet or you don’t want to take on the big boss opponents yet. Loupmoon has a partner ability that can be used to use powerful claw attacks against opponents.

You can only find Loupmoon in the game world at night and often travels in packs.

The best mounts in Palworld

Chillet

Element: Ice, Dragon | Skills: Collecting, cooling | Partner skill: Slithering Weasel (deals Dragon damage to player attacks when mounted) | Drop: leather

The water dragon Chillet offers you a good combination of attack and speed. Chillet may not be the fastest mount, but it has both ice and dragon attacks, which more than make up for the speed.

Direhowl

Element: Neutral | Skills: Collect | Partner skill: Dire ride: When riding, the speed is higher than usual | Drops: Leather, ruby, gold coin

You can find the Wolf-Pal outside the starting zone both during the day and at night. Direhowl almost always hunt in packs, so you have to be careful when catching them.

Direhowl offers very high speed compared to other Pals. He can deal good damage with his attacks, but can’t come close to Chillet in combat. However, if you want to quickly cross the map early in the game, Direhowl is a very good choice.

Vanwyrm

Element: shadow, fire | Skills: Lighting, transport | Partner skill: Marauder of the Skies; can be ridden as a flying mount | Drops: Bone, ruby, gold coin

The Vanwyrm is a good option from the Paldeck if you want an offensive creature of the skies. Thanks to the elements of fire and shadow, it offers powerful abilities and can transport you quickly across the map.

With a bit of luck you will find Vanwyrm west of your starting zone. Otherwise Vanwyrm can be found in the far west of the large map. A very good alternative is Nitewing, which you can meet in the starting zone.

Surfent

Element: water | Skills: Irrigation | Partner skill: Fast swimmer; can be ridden over water | Drops: Paljuice

If you want to explore the sea on the map, then there is no way around Surfent. Because Surfent is by far the fastest Pal in the water. On top of that, it has strong water attacks that you can use to keep enemies away. By the way, when you catch Surfent you can find and collect Palsap, which you need for many products.

However, there is one disadvantage: Surfent is only found in two tiny regions on the map. These are located west of the starting zone.

The best Pals for your base

Woolipop

Element: Neutral | Skills: Farm work | Partner skill: Candy Pop; can drop cotton candy when assigned to a livestock farm | Drops: Cotton Candy, High Quality Pal Oil

Woolipop looks similar to Lamball, but is pink. However, Woolipop’s strength is its ability: if you assign Woolipop to a cattle farm, the Woolipop will produce cotton candy, which you can then eat to sustain yourself. This is practical if you don’t feel like eating fried fruit anymore.

Lamball

Element: Neutral | Skills: Crafts, transport, farm work | Partner skill: Fluffy Shield; can be used as a shield | Drops: Wool, Lamball meat

Lamball is a very good choice for your base, especially at the beginning. This is also why we consider Lamball to be one of the best starters you can find in Palworld. If you place Lamball on a cattle farm, you will get wool that you can process into fabric. With crafting, transport and farm work, Lamball also has three practical skills for your base at the beginning.

The combat skills are rather negligible.

Mozzarina

Element: Neutral | Skills: Farm work | Partner skill: milk maker | Drops: Milk, mozzarina meat

Mozzarina is practical as a farm animal in that it can produce milk. You can either eat milk yourself, feed it to your Pals or use it to make cakes. Cake is an important ingredient for breeding Pals in the game.

Flopie

Element: grass | Skills: Crafts, Medicine, Transport, Collecting, Planting| Partner skill: Helper Bunny; collects things nearby | Drops: simple medicine, wheat seeds

There are few who have as many abilities as Flopie and that makes the Pal almost a mandatory part of your base. By the way, Flopie is also a good option if you want to collect wheat seeds. You can find Flopie west of your starting zone.

Lifmunk

Element: grass | Skills: Crafts, Medicine, Transportation, Collecting, Planting, Lumberjack | Partner skill: Lifmunk Recoil; provides access to submachine gun | Drops: Berry seeds, simple medicine

Lifmunk runs into you very early in the game. Lifmunk is ideal for your base because of his diverse abilities. The green pal can take on a lot of tasks for you, especially at the beginning.

The partner skill is also not to be despised: in battle you can equip a submachine gun that causes a lot of damage.
