For example, when two stones talk. Or a donut threatens the end of all life. No fun. But it all starts with Evelyn Wang (Michelle Yeoh) trying to save her tax returns and her marriage. The brightly colored genre mixture was nominated for 11 Oscars.

The film not only convinces with the wild pictures, but also with great performances by Yeoh and her colleagues, including Ke Huy Quan and Jamie Lee Curtis. Directed by Dan Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, who already showed a talent for the bizarre with Swiss Army Man.
