Part 6 of the series follows directly on from the plot of Scream (5). So you should have seen this before. The plot of Scream VI: A year after the Woodsboro murders, the survivors of the last film ended up in New York City. Serial killer’s daughter Sam Carpenter is at the center of an internet conspiracy theory and is said to be behind the murders himself. Then a killer wearing a Ghostface mask strikes again. While he relentlessly pursues the life of the Carpenter sisters and their friends, a former Ghostface survivor takes on the case: FBI agent Kirby Reed (Hayden Panettiere).
Why Scream 6 is worth it
After over two and a half decades, the Scream franchise shows no signs of fatigue. Part 5 gave the tried-and-tested Scream formula a modern update and scored points above all with nostalgia and a mix of familiar and new characters. Scream VI is surprisingly brutal in comparison – and therefore received an FSK 18 rating. The film uses its new big city setting for oppressive hunts and boasts a more aggressive Ghostface killer than before.

When is Scream 7 coming out with Jenna Ortega?
After the great success of part 6, the horror series will soon be continued with Scream 7. This time Christopher Landon takes the director’s chair, who previously gained experience with Happy Deathday and Freaky Slasher. Unfortunately, a return of the cast around Jenna Ortega has not yet been finalized due to the ongoing Hollywood strike.
