The best comedy saga of the 2010s is leaving Netflix

Don’t wait to watch this trilogy of comic films that amused spectators in the 2010s. It will soon be leaving the Netflix streaming platform!

Every month, Netflix sorts through its catalog, to leave more room for new releases or to remove programs that are reaching the end of their rights. In a few days, a trilogy of extremely popular comedies in the 2010s will leave the catalog. You only have a few days left to catch up with them.

It’s often absurd or vulgar, incongruous or ridiculous, yes, but the first opus turns out to be devilishly effective. The critics were very pleasantly won over by this comedy and gave it a score of 3.7/5 on Allociné (out of 21 press titles listed) while the spectators gave it an excellent score of 4/5. At the box office, the film earned $469.3 million worldwide, and more than 2 million admissions in France. He also revealed most of the stars of his cast, who although they were not unknown to American series fans, thanks to the film achieved international fame among the general public: Bradley Cooper (A Star is Born) above all, but also Ed Helms (The Office), Zach Galifianakis (Deadline) or even Justin Bartha (Benjamin Gates) and Ken Jeong (Community).

In 2009, the first episode of the saga Very Bad Trip took everyone by surprise. This comedy directed by Todd Phillips (who has since directed Joker in a completely different genre) does not hesitate to appear uninhibited, schoolboy or regressive thanks to a scenario that is both surprising and very funny. The pitch is very simple: after a drunken bachelor party, the fiancé disappears, less than two days before his wedding. Despite their monstrous hangover and their very confused memories, his friends embark on a strange investigation to find the future groom.

Logically, the success of Very Bad Trip allows it to give birth to sequels, much less popular among the press, but still effective. In the second episode (released in 2011), it’s Stu’s turn to bury his life as a bachelor in Bangkok, while the third episode (released in 2013) sees the gang leave for Las Vegas to help Alan to find one’s way. As in the first episode, the trips degenerate and take on disproportionate proportions.

The three films of the saga Very Bad Trip are currently available on Netflix, but not for long! The streaming platform removes the franchise from its catalog on March 31, 2024. Take advantage of these last few days to immerse yourself in these crazy adventures!
