The MMORPG Lost Ark currently has 21 different classes to choose from. But which ones are particularly good and suitable for the endgame in PvE or PvP? We at MeinMMO will tell you.
This is how the tier list is structured: In this article we would like to tell you which are currently the strongest classes in Lost Ark. In addition, MeinMMO editor Alexander Leitsch has dealt with the topic very intensively and also looked at a number of videos and animal lists from experts.
The result was a tier list for PvE and one for PvP, since the two ways of playing are very different from each other. The classes were each assigned to different tiers:
The strongest classes are in the S tier
There are still strong classes in the A tier, but they are not quite as dominant
In the B tier are classes that are strong in certain situations
The currently weakest classes are in the C tier
The important thing about this Tier List is that the order will change depending on the respective updates in the game. We will keep updating the list after the release. The tier list also serves as a guide only. Properly played, any class can be useful in PvE and PvP.

The best classes in PvE
This tier list focuses on how useful each class is in group content in PvE.
The Arkana belongs to the magicians and relies on a lot of DPS and mobility. However, at the same time it has little defense and is difficult to play. In addition, there is a certain random effect due to the cards. This ensures that she does not make it into the S tier.
The Artilleryman reduces incoming damage and has a shield for the party. However, if you have a support with you, you will not necessarily need this shield.
The summoner is a mage and summons elementals to fight alongside her. It’s fairly easy to learn and deals heavy damage.
The Battle Monk is the male equivalent of the War Dancer, albeit with a slightly weaker buff and a bit slower in terms of playstyle, but still strong.
Above all, the War Dancer comes with some useful group buffs, including increased crit chance and attack speed. However, it is difficult to play if you want to have high damage yourself.
Artistic Archer is a rather difficult class overall, but if played well, it can easily compete with those in the S tier. However, she quickly falls to the ground and a dead player is of little use to the group.
The Pistol Lancer is the most defensive class in Lost Ark. She can block attacks with a shield and has a taunt. Accordingly, pistol lancers are useful in groups.
The Scrapper is a strong class and not that difficult to learn. In terms of damage, it can compete with the strongest classes.
Soul Fist has strong burst, but only after long cast times. Therefore, if the attacks miss or enemies are already defeated, the soul fist does little for the group. Played well, it definitely belongs in the A tier.
Explanations of the classes in the B tier:
The Berserker also deals additional party-wide damage in the form of a debuff that increases incoming damage enemies take.
The Shadowhunter has some useful abilities for surviving alone in the world, including healing when she transforms. The pure values are okay, but it brings significantly less to the group compared to the S tier classes.
Reaper is a very fast class, but it can hardly withstand damage. You have to constantly reposition yourself and keep moving. If you’re not careful, you’ll quickly end up in the dirt as a reaper.
The Deathblade also has some group buffs, but these are very specific to frontal or rear attacks. In random groups in particular, however, this is too specific to be fully exploited.
The destroyer offers a safe package all round. He has a lot of defense, a lot of burst damage and CC. However, the class feels a bit slow overall and the attacks need to be very well placed to take full advantage of the class.
Explanations of the classes in the C-Tier:
The sniper has good damage and can be almost permanently in ranged combat. The class is strong on its own, but it doesn’t do enough for the group as a whole.
The machinist is demanding because you’re basically playing two classes at the same time. She also has little defense, making her weak in PvE at the moment.
As a marksman, you almost go into close combat with your strongest build and have to hit enemies in the back. The playing style is a little more special and it doesn’t last much. It is currently the weakest class in PvE.
The best classes in PvP
Since we at MeinMMO have no deep experience with PvP, we rely on the Maxroll.gg website for the PvP tier list. Among others, the well-known streamer Saintone and the YouTuber T-Party, who have many years of experience in the other versions of Lost Ark, write there.
The artist has not yet been included in these lists.
Explanation of this list: The classes listed here are based on which classes are easy to learn and most forgiving of mistakes. That’s why the paladin is at the top, but he’s also very strong in high-rank PvP.
Some classes, such as Artistic Archer or Sorceress, get better after fully mastering them.
Explanation of this list: The Tier List focuses on you mastering a class perfectly, as well as your teammates and opponents. Because then some classes are easier to counter, such as the summoner, which falls from the S to the B tier.
However, other classes, such as bard and paladin, level up significantly.
