The best builds for each class with spec and gameplay

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

Diablo 4 is in open beta and many are now looking for the best builds. MeinMMO shows you how to best play each class.

What can I find here? We present you the best builds for each class that we have been able to test or confirm ourselves so far. This currently only includes builds for level 25, the max level for the open beta of Diablo 4.

Each build comes with a brief description of how the class plays with it and a gameplay video to give you an idea of the playstyle. You can find talents, skills and legendaries in detail in the linked guide.

The list will expand over time as we find more builds to feature. If you’re still not sure what you want to play, here’s an overview of which class suits you best.

The best builds for the barbarian

Bleeding Barbarian with self-healing

As a barbarian, you rely on using different weapons. The bleeding build by MeinMMO editor Maik Schneider focuses on hitting opponents with many stacks of the bleeding debuff.

You mow through a horde of enemies and slowly bleed them dry. For many enemies, simply waiting and moving on is enough. You also heal yourself strongly against it.

By the way: This is how you change weapons as a barbarian. You can see what the build looks like here:

The best builds for the druid

Bear Druid with Companions

As for the druid, I’m still not entirely sure which build is actually the strongest. At the moment I’m working on a build that aims for you to stand in a horde of enemies as a tank and slowly wear them down.

Your wolf companions or other players in the group then take care of the damage to individual opponents. Once we’ve tested everything, you’ll find the build here.

A big problem is that druids don’t have their class mechanics in the beta and are generally considered weak:

The best builds for the huntress

Melee Hunter as Assassin

The Slayer is actually popular as a ranged fighter, but I had a lot more fun as a melee rogue in the test. The build fights with whirling blades and lots of mobility.

You dance around groups of enemies, avoiding all attacks and devastating enemies with flying knives and shadow magic. Your greatest strength is the mobility with which you fly across the battlefield.

The build has some problems with bosses, but I was able to kill the world boss Ashava with it without dying:

The best builds for the Necromancer

1-button Necromancer with Blood Mist

Necromancers often play with skeletons as minions. However, the Bloodmist build only uses one ability to wipe out entire hordes of enemies and has companions as a nice addition.

While you don’t have to do much to successfully build with it, you do need a specific Legendary, without which the build won’t work at all. You keep yourself alive against every enemy.

Unfortunately, we don’t have our own gameplay for the build yet, but here you can find the build by YouTuber Mattjestic MultiGaming in action:

The best builds for the sorceress

Frost sorceress that kills everything in seconds

The Frost Sorceress uses ice blades to slash enemies. You not only use the ability yourself, but above all its passive effect through the special class mechanics of the sorceress.

If you use other cooldowns, you will summon more Ice Blades on nearby enemies. So you kill pretty much everything in seconds.

Lightning sorceress for bosses and leveling

Although the Lightning Sorceress is weaker against large crowds of enemies, it can fight smaller groups and individual targets extremely effectively. In addition, hardly any opponent can ever get too close to you due to the crackling sparks.

The big advantage is that you hardly ever have to stand still. You’re constantly on the move, collecting sparks while your lightning spells blast through enemies, killing them. Also, you hardly need Legendarys for the build to work.

Many of the builds require specific legendaries to function or to support gameplay. If you still want to farm and haven’t caught Ashava, you can find new items here quickly and easily:
