8. Jared Leto
Appearances: 2016 in Suicide Squad
Jared Leto is one of the most hated Jokers, but is still popular with many people. It even had a certain amount of hype, especially when the film was released. Unfortunately, he never seems like the Joker in the film. He seems like a gangster who would like to be like the Joker.
But Jared Leto’s biggest problem is that he doesn’t get anything to do. The concept of the Joker works in interaction with Batman, and that’s not what’s happening here. But its design is quite concise, whether you like it or not.
7. Cesar Romero
Appearances: Between 1966 and 1968 in the Batman series
Cesar Romero, like the entire series, is pretty silly. That was a time when comics were in a child-friendly phase and always had to teach. He didn’t even shave his beard for his makeup.
But he’s the perfect Joker for Adam West’s Batman. He exudes a certain level of ridiculousness that you would expect from cliched clowns and cartoons. He’s far from the best Joker, but he’s arguably the best clown on this list.
