The first part of a popular horror series will be on television on Wednesday: Tele5 is broadcasting Silent Hill out of. The horror film from 2006 was followed by the sequel Silent Hill: Revelation in 2012 and is currently preparing its third film for next year – on location in Germany.
Horror start of a whole series: What is Silent Hill about?
Silent Hill is based on the Konami video game series of the same name. In Part 1, Rose (Radha Mitchell) wants to take her adopted daughter Sharon (Jodelle Ferland) to a healer against the wishes of her husband Christopher (Sean Bean) because the young sleepwalker keeps dreaming about the ghost town of Silent Hill. But they both have an accident on the way.

When Rose awakens, she finds that not only have they ended up in the town from Sharon’s nightmares, but that her child has also disappeared. In search of her, the mother ventures into the fog of Silent Hill and finds more than just monsters there.
Silent Hill 3 will be filmed in Germany and will be released in 2024
The Silent Hill film series rested for twelve years after the second part. But 2024 is coming along Return to Silent Hill another sequel. The third horror film in the franchise, like part 1, is once again directed by Christophe Gans (Pact of the Wolves). The new sequel based on the video game Silent Hill 2 * and should reboot the series at the same time.
What is Silent Hill 3 about? James (Jeremy Irvine) is led by a mysterious letter back to the titular city, where he hopes to find his lost soulmate. Once there, however, he discovers that a malicious force has changed the small town and he begins to doubt reality.

Filming for Return to Silent Hill took place in Germany from April to July 2023. More precisely: in Bavaria, where the production filmed in the Penzing studios as well as in Munich, Rossberg, Nuremberg and Ammersee. According to Screen Daily, the Film FernsehenFonds Bayern (FFF Bayern) contributed 1 million euros as a grant. Silent Hill 3 does not yet have an exact start date for 2024.

Silent Hill is on November 1, 2023 at 10:00 p.m. on Tele5. The repeat will follow on November 3, 2023 at 12:25 a.m. The sequel also already has a TV date: Silent Hill 2 will be shown on Tele5 on November 8th, 2023 at 10 p.m. and repeated on November 10th, 2023 at 12:40 a.m.
