The Beast is Both Scary and Funny

Dying Light: The Beast will be with us in the summer of 2025, blending horror with innovative mechanics and fun co-op experience.

Techland’s highly anticipated game Dying Light: The Beastaims to offer players a unique experience by combining horror elements and crazy co-op mechanics. The game, which will be released in the summer of 2025, attracts attention with its atmosphere that makes you feel the fear of the night more deeply. Thanks to new environments, different biomes and improved mechanics, players will experience fearful moments and have fun with their friends in co-op mode.

Deeper Horror Experience with Dying Light: The Beast

Dying Light: The Beast pushes players’ limits with different areas such as the new swamp biome, as well as classic city tracks. Elements such as dense fog and shallow water in the swamp biome restrict players’ field of vision, increasing the feeling of fear. These new areas create tension-filled moments that keep players waiting for a threat around every corner.

Game director Tymon Smektala stated that they were inspired by horror movie scenes. “We are inspired by those scenes where reaching the end of a corridor seems like a simple task, but the tension reaches its peak with sound effects and camera angles,” said Smektala, adding that these elements contributed greatly to the atmosphere of the game.

Co-op gameplay is another unique aspect of Dying Light: The Beast. However, having four players in the game at the same time can reduce the feeling of fear. Smektala pointed out the funny side of this situation by saying, “It is almost impossible to maintain the atmosphere of fear if one actor is disrespecting the zombie and the other is talking about TV series.”

In addition, the game is enriched with new weapons and vehicles. Players will be able to develop creative solutions against zombies with weapons such as flamethrowers and UV bombs added to the series for the first time. Additionally, vehicle driving can now be done from a first-person perspective, making the gameplay even more impressive.
