The bank crisis in China is growing. In the city of Zengzhou in Henan province, citizens who said they could not withdraw their money from the bank protested in front of the Bank of China branch. Hundreds of people flocked to the People’s Bank of China branch in Zhengzhou when they realized their accounts had been reset.
A brawl broke out between the demonstrators and security guards protesting the bank with banners that read “We want our savings”. While the police stated that many people were detained, it was claimed that more than 3,000 people attended the demonstration.
TANKS ARE PLACED IN FRONT OF THE BANKS
Tanks were shipped in front of the People’s Bank of China in Henan, where the protests took place. It was seen that the tanks in front of the bank provided security in the area. Some Chinese internet news sites also claimed that the tanks were on their way to attend a training in Shandong province.
APPEARED IN APRIL
Millions of dollars of deposits in banks were frozen last April 18, and banks told customers this was the result of a refresh in their internal systems. However, bank customers said that since then, no explanation has been given to them from the banks.
According to the investigation initiated by the authorities, it was determined that some people from Henan New Asset Group had accessed and manipulated the online trading systems of banks. After this incident, he announced that a number of suspects were arrested.
It is stated that the Henan bank, which is the target of the protests, froze millions of dollars in deposits in April on the grounds that the bank systems were being renewed.
