Pascal Convert photographed the Bâmiyân cliff in Afghanistan, 15 years after the destruction of the monumental Buddhas by the Taliban. His photos are published today in a very beautiful book by Atelier EXB. Incredibly sharp images in black and white. The grains of sand melt into the stone and the dune envelops everything, sometimes covered with a white coat of snow. A cliff like a living being in the eye of the photographer.
