The death toll in the 7-day Greek fires continues to rise. This morning, a burned body was found in the forest area near Kavacık village. The body is thought to be that of an irregular immigrant.
The body, which was taken to Forensic Medicine for autopsy, is thought to belong to an irregular immigrant trying to cross to Greece via the Evros River.
IT HAS LOST EFFECT
The fires, which have been going on in the country since 19 August, lost its effect on the 7th day, although it could not be completely brought under control.
In Viotia, on August 21, a shepherd and an irregular migrant died in Kavacık (Lefkimi) in the Evros Region.
The bodies of 18 people, including 2 children, were found in the forest area of Dadia on 22 August, presumably belonging to irregular migrants trying to cross the Evros River to Greece.
