The Bailiff must, on behalf of the government, contribute to ensuring financing of the public sector and contribute to a well-functioning society while also combating crime.
In August, the authority, which has just over 2,300 employees, stated that there were around 420,000 people in Sweden who had active debts with the Kronofogden. At the same time, it was established that the debts increased by roughly SEK 50 million – daily.

The enforcement officer warns of websites
In other words, there are many people who come into contact with the Kronofogden, to pay off and manage debts. The authority is now sending a warning to these.
“Be careful when reading about us on other websites. The information may be incorrect,” it reads their websitewhere they further develop:
“Right now we are receiving signals about a number of websites where there is incorrect information about our business.”

According to the Swedish Crown Administration, skuldrådgivning.se, skuldfinans.se and jurist1.se are some of the sites where incorrect information appears.
