According to aviation analyst Jan Ohlsson, SAS’s application for bankruptcy protection is in reality a kind of “soft bankruptcy” which means a way for SAS to get rid of debts. He also says that this is a last resort to avoid a real bankruptcy.
– In the meantime, SAS continues to fly 30 percent of the business and they probably want the subcontractors to deliver more, because otherwise SAS has no future. Then there will be bankruptcy in the Swedish way, says Jan Ohlsson.
