One thing is certain: to enter business school, it is better to have a good academic level. If only competitive examinations are taken into account, the baccalaureate average makes it possible to determine the level of the students entering them. In 2023, the general average for the baccalaureate of candidates accepted into these establishments amounts to 15.90. But behind this figure lie disparities depending on the type of business school targeted.

To join the prestigious HEC, Essec or ESCP, candidates have every interest in being excellent. After competitive examination, they mainly welcome high school graduates with an average above… 17. However, students with a “good” grade have their place in schools in the top 15 – post-baccalaureate or post-prep – while “fairly good” high school graduates will generally join more modest establishments.
