The autumn frost is on hiatus – higher temperatures are expected

The autumn frost will have to wait a while longer when a high pressure drags sun and heat in over large parts of the country.
– For several days to come, we can count on daytime temperatures of 10-14 degrees in Götaland and parts of Svealand, says TV4’s meteorologist Peter Kondrup.

During the night to Wednesday, there was frost in several parts of the country. The coldest was in Naimakka in Kiruna municipality with a temperature of minus 13 degrees. But now the cold frosty nights are over. At least temporarily.

A high pressure pushes in from the east bringing warmer temperatures and sun.

– This means that the nights will be considerably milder and we can cope with frost for a while, at least in the southern part of the country, says TV4’s meteorologist Peter Kondrup.

– For several days to come, we can count on daytime temperatures of 10-14 degrees in Götaland and parts of Svealand.

Biggest sun chances

The warmest will be on Saturday, when several places in, for example, Skåne and Halland can reach temperatures of up to 16 degrees.

Further north in the country it will generally be around 10 degrees, except in northernmost Norrland where it will be 5-10.

If you want to enjoy the sun, you can take advantage of it on Thursday, when the sun chances are greatest in several parts of the country.

– It looks like it will be the sunniest in the eastern parts of Götaland and Svealand as well as in southern Norrland, says Peter Kondrup.

Kondrup adds that it will be windy at the same time with fresh to strong southerly winds along our coasts.
