No crime was behind the death of diet guru and TV presenter Michael Mosley.
It writes Daily Mailwho have seen the autopsy report – which also reveals that Mosley died just a couple of hours after he went for a walk.
“He took the wrong path,” his wife writes in a statement.
The death of the founder of the 5:2 diet, Michael Mosley, has shocked many. He disappeared on Wednesday last week after going for a walk on the Greek island of Symi. He was going to walk from the beach of Saint Nikolaus back to the capital Symi, but took the wrong road and ended up on the wrong mountain path. On Sunday, he was found dead.
According to the autopsy report obtained by the British Daily Mail, Michael Mosley died just 2.5 hours after he left his wife to go for a walk. He collapsed at a fence just 80 meters from a resort with a restaurant and a kiosk.
Film shows: Was dizzy and walked strangely
The autopsy report states that there was no foul play behind Mosley’s death, but the exact cause of death has yet to be determined. It has been around 40 degrees during the day on the island for the past week and the heat is believed to have had an impact. Mayor Eleftherios Papakaloudoukas has told media that Mosley likely died of heat stroke and exhaustion.
Surveillance footage obtained by the Daily Mail shows Michael Mosley appearing dizzy, clutching his forehead and pacing back and forth for 20 minutes near the resort where he was found dead.
Also BBC has obtained the autopsy report, which states that Mosley died at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, the same day he went missing. It must have been staff at a bar at the resort who found him.
“He was close to making it”
Michael Mosley’s wife says her husband was close to making it.
“He made an incredible hike, took the wrong path and collapsed where it was difficult to see him,” she writes in a statement to the media.
She also pays tribute to her “wonderful, funny, kind and amazing” husband.
“We had an incredibly happy life together. We loved each other very much and were so happy together.”
