More and more authorities are now switching to voice-controlled telephone services, creating problems for people with language difficulties.
Among these are people with the disability aphasia. Camilla Ejdestig is one of those who suffer from the authorities’ transition to voice control.
– Yes, you get stressed, says Camilla to TV4 Nyheterna.
Now the Aphasia Association criticizes the authorities, and demands that the problems be taken seriously.
– Not everyone is allowed to participate at all. People with aphasia are not allowed to speak, and we think it should be a human right to be able to get in touch with the Social Insurance Agency or whatever it is, says Berit Robrandt Ahlberg, chairman of the Aphasia Association.
