The Australian broke the world record for longest continuous surfing

Johnson still continues his surfing session. His goal is to be in the water until Friday night and break the 40-hour mark.

Australian former professional surfer Blake Johnson broke the world record for the longest continuous surf in Sydney on Friday.

Johnson began his stint at Cronulla Beach on Thursday at 1am local time. He broke the South African by Josh Enslin set the previous record on Friday.

Enslin’s record was 30 hours and 11 minutes.

Johnson still continues his surfing session. His goal is to be in the water until Friday night and break the 40-hour mark.

Medical staff are monitoring Johnson’s health. He is allowed to take short breaks for eating and drinking.
