In the semifinals of the Finnish Ice Hockey League, Tappara advanced to the final with a match victory of 4–1. KooKoo caught everyone off guard with a great opening pass – but unfortunately KooKoo was as surprised by the move as anybody else, and managed to miss the extraordinary opportunity.
In the Finnish Ice Hockey League, Tappara secured his place in the finals after a four-year hiatus when he won KooKoon 4–1 in the fifth semi-final match. Tappara advanced with a match victory of 4–1.
Only 21 years old became Tappara’s hero Petteri Puhakka, who hit KooKoo’s net with two goals. After the second goal, Tappara’s supporters shouted Puhaka’s name loudly. The match was followed by 10 371 spectators.
Although Tappara has not been in the spring 2018 finals since then, the club’s supporters have enjoyed the Finnish Championship finals several times over the past ten years. The final place for Tappara is the seventh in ten years.
Of the six finals, two ended up in the championship and four in the silver medal.
That’s how it was played
KooKoo got the start of the match when Juho Rautanen the wrist shot passed from the blue line Christian Heljangon. Heljanko missed his own defender in the situation Santtu Kinnusen behind a moving mask.

Puhakka is playing his first full season in the Finnish Championship. He scored 10 goals in the regular season, but in the playoffs the striker has already finished four hits.
At the end of the match, five minutes before the end, Tappara was able to attack for the fourth time with two zeros, but Charles Bertrand failed to finish.
Eventually, however, Tappara got to embellish the final readings when Otto Leskinen succeeded in the preliminary work of Luoto and Rauhala. The four-way chain of Tappara thus recorded a total of five power points.
Two minutes before the end of the game, a great sports culture was still seen in Tampere, when KooKoo defended for the last time in the defense. Alexander Bonsaksenia was shown on the hall media cube.
Tappara thanked his former player, and the home crowd also showed his popularity. Bonsas, who was in the exchange, stood up and thanked him for the applause.
Despite the loss, KooKoo can be considered sensational. The team rose to the semifinals against the Jukers through the 1st round of the playoffs when Radek Koblizek settled in a rematch against Pelicans. In the quarterfinals, KooKoo won the Jukurit in the seventh match.
– The KooKoon season requires quite a lot of praise. It was quite an accomplishment, Nättinen stated on the Hockey Tour.
– These performances create a great deal of faith in other “smaller clubs”. Stories like this are so important that the right kind of work and the right choices can make it. Sports always require someone to break the impact of money, Nättinen continued.
