At 32, the multidisciplinary visual artist Marie-Claire Messouma Manlanbien is an often elusive “creator of links” between human beings and nature, and between the cultures of their origins. She was born in 1990 in Paris. Her mother comes from Guadeloupe and her father from Ivory Coast, the country where she grew up, but which she left in 2004, because of the civil war. Since then, she has created her own universe, an artistic and daring, poetic and powerful world.
