End of the ordeal for the sixty women kidnapped by suspected terrorists last week Thursday 12 and Friday 13 January in Arbinda in northern Burkina Faso. They were found this Friday on board a bus in the north central region. They arrived Friday evening January 20 in the capital where they were welcomed by the authorities. Radio-Television du Burkina broadcast images of these women, freed and brought back to Ouagadougou, evoking an “operation” of the armed forces.
The women abducted in Arbinda were found during a roadside check. The bus transporting them stopped at an internal security forces checkpoint in the commune of Tougouri, about 70 km from Kaya in the Center-North region.
