Now it’s over with Oboy and Marabou chocolate within the Armed Forces. The decision comes after the food giant Mondelez ended up on Ukraine’s blacklist.

– It is of course serious and that is why we have now decided to no longer accept deliveries of Mondelez products, says press secretary Guna Graufelds.

Several large companies have recently boycotted brands such as Oboy, Marabou and Philadelphia after the owner Mondelez ended up on Ukraine’s blacklist. In recent years, the company has contributed high taxes to the Russian treasury.

Now the Swedish Armed Forces are following suit.

– In the past year, we have supported Ukraine in various ways and this is another way for us to support them, says press secretary Guna Graufelds at the Swedish Armed Forces.

In the authority’s agreement for food products, there is an option to exchange specific products, which the Swedish Armed Forces is now doing. The process began last week.

– I have no stock balance, but we will use up what we already have. We will not throw away or dispose of the products because it is not good from a sustainability perspective. But we will not buy in new products, says Grausfelds.
