The apartment was covered in rubbish – woman evicted

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

Already in 2017, the woman, who lives in a place in Dalarna county, is said to have risked eviction because the apartment was judged to be a sanitary nuisance. That time she was saved by a neighbor who helped her clean.

The following year, the landlord wanted to evict her again for the same reason but was refused by the tenancy board, as the procedures for gaining access to a tenant’s home were not followed.

However, after becoming suspicious again, the landlord managed to gain access to the apartment earlier this year and was then met by a home that was so full of rubbish that it could not be vacuumed or wet-dried. In addition, there was a significant risk of both fire and moisture damage.

The host then dismissed the woman, which she did not accept. She objected to the eviction citing age and illness.

However, the board sided with the host and she must now move out by January 31 next year at the latest. The woman’s representative tells Hem & Hyra that she has been offered via social services to move to another apartment in the place where she lives.
