The 180-centimeter and 78-kilogram hardworking winger shoots from the right side. At the age of 26, in his 15th league game at the highest domestic hockey level, Koivusaari was among the top scorers.
– In the morning, I even had an unnerving feeling when the guy from the office came and said he had a dream that I scored a goal in the game. It’s a nice feeling now, and it’s nice when there was another goal after that, Koivusaari laughed A trap for the Knight and in the interview he gave to the hockey tour.
Two goals in ten minutes of playing time is not a more owlish achievement for the platform of the square.
– In the last exchange Joni Piipponen still offered a good place, but didn’t hit again, the surprise hero of the evening pointed out.
Koivusaari was the player with the most tackles in the battle between Kiekko-Espoo and TPS.
– It is perhaps the most natural way to play for me. That’s how I try to get momentum for my gang.
From Mest, Koivusaari has played five seasons in KeuPa HT and K-Espoo in his career and collected 74 (38+36) points in 123 games he played.
“Let’s tolerate bad moments”
Kiekko-Espoo’s top performances have partly been overshadowed by SaiPa’s wonderful season. The league champions have won a handsome seven of the last nine games and are third in the league midway through the regular season – just two points off the top spot.
– The victory didn’t come in a pretty way, but we tolerated the bad moments quite well when the guy was drumming in our head. There was plenty of room for improvement.
Koivusaari admitted that TPS could have been better in the field game for two sets.
– We have a lot of experienced players who calm down what others are doing at the end of the bench if necessary. We are able to score points sometimes even with a weaker game. Although the result has been really good, there is a lot of room for improvement, Koivusaari reminded.
